Just a 5 minute drive away you will find a substantial commercial centre, including hypermarket, numerous shops, go-karting, cinemas, amusement arcade, restaurants and a McDonalds. Also 5 minutes drive away in El Ejido, there is a weekly outdoor market, indoor swimming pool, Aldi and Lidl.

There is a tourist office located outside the Copo Centro Commercial close to the 409 turn off from the E15 motorway towards Almerimar which has lots of free literature.

20 minutes drive away there is the resort of Roquetas with its own beach, shopping area, amusements, restaurants, very large commercial area, water park and aquarium.

Almeria city is approximately 45 minutes drive away and boasts many historical buildings. The Alcazaba fortress, with its three walled enclosures dating back to 955 and the Christian Cathedral dating back to 1524 are both interesting places to visit. The Alcazaba fortress is perched high up on a hill with fantastic views looking down onto the city and port.
